My technical experience ranges from microcontroller development, PLCs, G-Code, servos, stepper motors and encoder systems to modern databases, networked production systems and artificial intelligence. Beyond that, I have developed and built machines myself – including CNC systems and 3D printers – and also sold them commercially.

Development, automation & business processes
For more than 30 years, I have been working with software, electronics, control engineering and automation.

For me, technology has never been just a profession – it has always been a hobby, a passion and a way of life. I am a high-tech geek and constantly explore what is technically possible today and tomorrow.
Around three decades as an entrepreneur
At the same time, I have been an entrepreneur and employer for around three decades. During this time, I have built and led companies and been responsible for a total of more than 200 employees.
My fields of activity included, among other things, software and database development for network operators, telecommunications planning and network expansion, my own planning office, civil works, technical research and development, and teaching in the field of wind turbines and plant engineering.

As a result, I know companies not only from a technical perspective but also from day-to-day practice – from employees and planning to projects and production, all the way to costs, time pressure and company management.
This combination shapes secondFactory.
I don’t see an operation merely as a software project. I want to understand how people, machines, information and decisions work together, where time and money are lost, and which processes can be simplified, automated or fundamentally designed better.
What works together
What it can become
Technology has to adapt to the business – not the other way around.
My aim is not to sell software to a company.
My aim is to make a company technically better, more modern and more effective.
